Non-Curricular Clubs

The Boerne High School Environmental Club strives to bring approachable, yet effective, environmental activism to the Boerne community through student outreach and engagement. Through meaningful activities, trips, and educational opportunities, we hope to nurture environmental stewardship and love of nature in everyone, no matter their experience or knowledge.

We will meet once a month under Mrs. Lipe's supervision, before school in her room, and we will engage in events outside of school.

Our mission is to create a sustainable bass fishing club for area youth, keeping intact Christian-oriented ideals and guiding principals, and, in doing so, to develop future leaders in our community who have outstanding character, values, and a shared love of the outdoors. 

Meetings will be held in the BHS library at 6 pm throughout the year before tournaments.

Our goals:

1. Increase the chess skills of high school students.

2. Increase the knowledge and understanding of the game of chess.

3. Meet weekly after school.

Meetings will be held from 4-5 pm on Wednesdays (during regular school weeks only).

Our purpose is to write stories and paragraphs independently. The goal is for all members to grasp storytelling and writing concepts, character creation, world building, etc.

We will meet Fridays after school, from 4-5 pm in Ms. Kenworthy's room (E114). 

We are a student-led club in which members develop skills such as leadership, integrity, character, teamwork, time management, event planning, organization, social skills, and public speaking. Our goal is to be leaders who make a positive impact in our school and invite others to do the same.

We will meet in room D133.

Hounds at High Altitudes is dedicated to bringing together students who share a passion for aviation and aerospace. Our purpose is to build knowledge of flight through discussions, guest speakers, and hands-on activities while fostering teamwork, leadership, and curiosity. Whether members dream of becoming pilots, engineers, or simply want to explore the skies, this club provides a supportive community to learn and grow.

Meetings will be held once every two months before/after school for approximately 30 minutes and will include discussions, activities, and guest speakers. 

We are community service club serving as an extension of the Boerne Rotary Committee. 

Meetings will be held the first Wednesday of every month in Ms. Wylie's room.

Our goal is to promote socialization during after-school hours with table games and school-appropriate beverages. 

We will meet Mondays from 4:05-5 pm in Mrs. Stephenson's theatre room.

Our mission is to empower students with the knowledge and skills to navigate finance and economics, harnessing the power to build wealth. Through education, practical investing experience, and mentorship, we can inspire the next generation to make informed decisions and create a foundation for a prosperous future. 

We will meet once per semester and have possible volunteer opportunities.

The purpose of puzzle club is to create a fun, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating environment for anyone to solve puzzles.

We will meet bi-monthly in Coach Harms room.

Our purpose is to learn basic sewing skills and explore how to give new life to old materials by making something new through sewing.

We will meet every first Tuesday of the month from 4:15-5:15 in the library.

Our goal is to create and share stories.

Meetings will be held on Mondays from 4-5 in E123 (Mrs. Anderson's room).

Our mission is to bring metal music lovers together by playing and listening to instruments of the metal genres. Other activities include learning songs, student-led band performances, and more.

Meetings will be Wednesdays in the theatre room/auditorium.

Our missions is to teach students the importance of our military through service projects, lessons, other initiatives.

We will meet in the library on the first Tuesday of each month.
