Boerne High School Welcomes Matt Myers as Principal
June 30, 2026
Dear Boerne High School Families and Staff,
I am pleased to announce that Matt Myers has been selected as the next principal of Boerne High School, effective Monday, July 6.
Following an intentional selection process and valuable feedback from our Boerne High School community, it became clear that Matt's leadership experience, student-centered approach, and commitment to excellence make him the right person to lead Boerne High School into its next chapter.
Matt is a familiar face in Boerne ISD, having served as principal of Boerne Middle School South and previously as principal of Curington Elementary. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for fostering strong relationships, supporting students and staff, and creating positive school cultures where all students can thrive.
We are excited to welcome Matt to Boerne High School and look forward to the vision and leadership he will bring to our students, staff, and families.
Please join me in congratulating Mr. Myers as he begins this exciting new chapter.

Gutierrez will oversee programs that prepare students for college, careers, military service and industry certifications while strengthening partnerships with local businesses and higher education institutions.
