Volleyball:

The Lady Greyhounds swept Harlandale this past Tuesday night and had a bye Friday night. With a record of 20-4, our Lady Greyhounds will be taking on South San this coming Tuesday night at home. 

Tennis:

The Tennis team is currently 7-3 overall, 3-0 in district. Play varsity at Alamo Heights Tuesday and JV home Thursday. Rained out Friday at Liberty Hill but were leading when play was stopped.

Saturday, the Boerne High School cross country team traveled to Corpus Christi, the site of the regional meet, to compete in the Region IV-5A Preview Meet hosted by Texas A&M–Corpus Christi.

The girls placed seventh out of 32 teams, led by Presley Merkins, Sutton Amerman, and Ansley Schiller.

The boys finished 24th out of 32 teams, with Kyle Clark, Levi Mendoza, and Colin Bartnick leading the way.

Boerne Water Polo competed against 6A opponents Marshall and state-ranked Clark this past weekend at the Northside Aquatic Center.

The Lady Hounds opened with a dominant 15–3 victory over Marshall, led by senior Bonnie Johnson with five goals and junior Ashlyn Jendrusch with 12 steals. The boys also earned a convincing 18–3 win over Marshall, with senior Zach Pyle and freshman Lucas Macias each scoring three goals and Leo Nunez leading the team with six steals.

Both teams battled hard against 6A state-ranked Clark, with the girls falling 6–13 and the boys 9–21. Johnson led the girls with three goals, while Jendrusch recorded four steals. Freshman Jack Smith led the boys with three goals, and Elliot Brown added five steals.

Next up: Both teams take on Champion High School on Thursday, September 17, at the Boerne Aquatic Center. The girls play at 6:00 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:00 p.m.

Football:

The Hounds took on Davenport this past Friday night finishing with a victory of 30-21. The game was delayed in the 3rd quarter due to lightening and then called off after continuous lightening strikes. The Hounds take on Somerset this coming Friday night at home.

The BHS Starlettes & Silver Stars Dance Team held their dance clinic this past Saturday. Thank you to all of those who made it a success! On October 5th - the BHS Starlettes & Silver Stars will host a fundraising night at the Texas Roadhouse: 3-10pm - with 10% of food purchases going to our team! See flyer below.

🐔 It’s Chick-fil-A Day at BHS!🐔

Five times throughout the school year, Boerne High School PTO gets the opportunity to sell Chick-fil-A during all BHS lunch periods!  It is always a fun day on campus! Even better, all proceeds from these sales go directly back to support BHS PTO programs.  We need volunteers to help make each CFA Day a success! Come help us serve lunch, see the kids, and support BHS at the same time! Please consider volunteering for one (or all 😃) of our Chick-fil-A Days this year. We would love to have you!

We have reached our first UIL Eligibility check of the school year this week. Now is a great time for students to review their grades, communicate with teachers, and take care of any missing assignments or opportunities to improve their grades. A little organization and effort now can make a big difference!

We want to help families navigate attendance and early release procedures smoothly this school year.

Students who drive—or ride with a current BHS student who drives—must have a valid BHS parking permit. Otherwise, a parent/guardian must come into the Front Office to sign the student out.

Only seniors with an Off-Campus Lunch sticker may leave campus for lunch. All other students must be signed out by a parent/guardian.

Students who feel ill should report to the school nurse. If the nurse sends the student home, the remainder of the day is excused. If a parent chooses to check out a student after the nurse determines they should remain at school, the absence is unexcused unless a parent note is provided.
